Richards - A Grimes County Volunteer Fire Department received a new resource for fighting fires.
Midsouth Synergy installed a new 5,000 gallon water tank for the Richards Volunteer Fire Department.
Andy Conner with Midsouth Synergy says the tank will allow firefighters to battle fires more efficiently.
"It's going to be a system where as soon as you take water out, it refills itself with new water and that way they can go to a fire and fill up and go back again and fill up if they need to," Conner says.
Currently, the largest truck in the Richards Volunteer Fire Department holds about a thousand gallons of water.
