Harvey Road Back Open Following Gas Leak


Harvey road has been reopened.



A two-inch Atmos Energy gas line is under repair in College Station after a crew working at Scarlett O'Hara and Harvey Road struck the line Tuesday morning around 10 a.m. They were repairing a sewer line at the time of the incident.

Harvey Road between Scarlett O'Hara Drive and Munson Avenue is currently closed to all traffic while crews work to repair the ruptured gas line. It is expected to reopen later tonight.

Atmos Engery says that Mattress Sleep Center has been evacuated due to the leak..

It is unknown how long the repairs will take. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
