Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, across the Brazos Valley, Saturday afternoon and evening. Winds in excess of 40-60mph are the main concern, within the strongest activity. An isolated, brief tornado threat cannot be ruled out. Heavy rainfall between 1" and 3" has the potential to cause localized flash flooding in a few locations.
A Rockdale man has been indicted on charges of intoxication manslaughter for causing the death of an unborn child.
56-year-old Mark Allen Talley who was indicted January 17th, bonded out of jail the Milam County Jail on Tuesday after posting a $30,000 bond.
Rockdale police say Talley was first arrested at the scene of an accident in October 2012. Investigators say Talley was drunk and behind the wheel when he hit a woman who was six months pregnant.
According to witnesses, the woman was struck as she walked along the street pushing her twins in a stroller. The twins escaped injury, but the mother who was treated at Scott & White Hospital in Temple suffered severe internal bleeding and lost her unborn baby.
