BRYAN Bryan Police say a driver trying to pass a truck on the shoulder caused a rollover accident on Highway 6 Friday morning.
According to officers, a grey Ford 150 used the right hand shoulder to pass a flat bed truck. As that grey truck tried to get back onto the highway, it clipped the flat bed. The Ford spun out into the center median and the flat bed ended up in a creek bed, hitting a concrete wall.
Both drivers were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Bryan with minor injuries.
The driver of the grey truck, Matthew Cordes, of Bastrop, TX, was cited for failing to pass to the right safely.
It took three tow truck drivers three hours to pull the flat bed truck out of the creek.
