Romney Heads To Colorado As Schedule Intensifies

By  |

Campaign aides say Mitt Romney is launching an intense schedule of campaign stops in battleground states as he faces criticism over his focus on raising campaign cash.

It'll start today in Colorado. An evening rally in Denver represents his first public event of the weekend. With the election less than seven weeks away, he's facing pressure to spend less time raising money and more time explaining his plans to voters in swing states.

The former Massachusetts governor has the stage to himself today. President Barack Obama plans to be in Washington and has no official business or campaign activity scheduled.

Later in the week, Romney launches an Ohio bus tour followed by a stop in Virginia.
