Scattered areas of rain & a few thunderstorms are moving across the Brazos Valley this afternoon. Later today & into the evening hours, while the coverage is expected to remain low (20%) -- should a thunderstorm develop, it could become severe. Large hail & damaging winds are the main concern -- however an isolated tornado threat cannot be ignored. Strong thunderstorms are possible overnight & early Monday morning, as well (50%).
COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The Texas A&M women's basketball team arrived at the Cox-McFerrin Center at Reed Arena shortly after 12:30am Monday morning after winning the SEC Tournament in Duluth, Georgia. The Aggies beat Kentucky 75-67 in the championship game. It was Texas A&M's first Southeastern Conference Tournament title in any sport in its first season in the SEC. Kelsey Bone was named the tournament MVP. Bone, Kristi Bellock and Courtney Walker were named to the All-Tournament Team.
With the tournament win the Aggies claim the SEC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The full field for the 2013 NCAA Women's will be announced on March 18.
