Investigators are calling this a very tragic accident after a three-year-old Montgomery County girl is run over by a neighbor and killed.
It happened Monday around 4 p.m. in the Legends Ranch subdivision near Oak Ridge North in the Woodlands. The three-year-old girl was playing in a ditch when DPS Troopers say she darted out in front of a black BMW SUV.
DPS officials say the 21-year-old driver lives just a few houses down from the child. An ambulance took the little girl to Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands where she died. The accident is being investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
