BRYAN - Hundreds of people attended the Save Our Streets Ministries' annual banquet Tuesday night in Bryan.
Save Our Streets, also called "SOS", is a local Christian organization dedicated to turning lives around. Their mission is to "rescue, restore, and release those they serve from a drug and gang infested environment where abuse, poverty, and violence are a way of life".
SOS is celebrating 20 years of service in the Brazos Valley, and the banquet included personal testimonies from those who have been touched by their ministry.
'Save Our Streets' began as an effort to primarily reach gang members, but has branched out to help all those in need. It now partners with 75 churches and has 250 volunteers.
