UPDATE: According to Sam Houston State University's Facebook page, a suspect has been identified in the social media posting threat against SHSU. After meeting with the suspect, UPD has determined that the threat was a hoax.
Officials at Sam Houston State University sent out a warning for students to be alert following a “suspicious” social media posting.
The school sent out a KatSafe message saying:
A suspicious social media posting about SHSU is being investigated. Be alert. Report any unusual activities to UPD at 936.294.1794 or call 911.
