Scare On The Square Coming To Downtown Huntsville Saturday

Updated: Tue 4:06 PM, Oct 23, 2012

A frightening festival is coming to Huntsville this weekend.

The tenth annual Scare On The Square is coming to Downtown Huntsville from 5 to 7:30 P.M. Saturday.

There will be a costume contest and lots of candy too.

Last year more than 6,500 people attended the Halloween fall celebration, the largest turnout ever.

"Well organizations from Sam Houston and from the community come out and they sponsor booths and they do activities, games arts and crafts and everybody passes out candy so you won't go home empty handed," said Kim McAuliffe, Huntsville Main Street Program Coordinator.

This year there is an admission fee for the first time to help pay for the costs.

It's a dollar to get in for people five and up while under five is still free.
