WASHINGTON COUNTY - Authorities are still hoping to locate a missing Washington County woman, but their search has been hampered by weather.
Sheriff Otto Hanak says the last few days of rain has made it too treacherous to search the property where Glenda Sommerfield was last seen. Crews are hoping to get back out Thursday morning.
Sommerfield, 52, was last seen Sunday night walking away from her home on FM 390 near Highway 105.
Sommerfield is described as a white female with dark brown, shoulder length wavy hair standing 5'8". She may be in possession of a weapon, but authorities don't think she's a danger to the public.
Hanak says their investigation shows no signs that Sommerfield has tried to make phone calls to anyone. Family members are helping and cooperating with the investigation, he says.
If you have any information about Sommerfield's whereabouts, you're asked to call Brenham Emergency Communications at (979) 337-7272.
