Washington County The Washington County Sheriff's Office has released information on a marijuana bust off of F.M. 1155 - the street value of which has been estimated at more than $5.25 million.
Investigators say approximately 3500 plants were seized Wednesday from a property that in March was the scene of a separate pot bust. They say a local property owner spotted and reported the additional plants, which were undetectable by helicopter surveillance.
"When you have multiple acres, sometimes you may have other people that use it and you may not know what's going on.," said Chief Deputy Jay Petrash, Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Officials say it took more than four hours and 25 people to dig up all the plants.
Investigators say there aren't any suspects behind bars yet, but at least $5 million worth of marijuana is off the street.
