Shooting in Bryan Injures Brothers; Suspect on the Loose

BRYAN- Bryan Police are investigating a shooting on Toro Lane in Bryan.

It happened around 6:10 p.m. Saturday.

Darnice Franklin told News 3 a man approached her and began an argument. Her two sons, James Munson, 29, and John Munson, 26, were then shot multiple times after trying to protect their mother.

Bryan Police say the victims suffered serious injuries, but they are not expected to be life-threatening.

Police are working the scene and are in pursuit of the shooter. The suspect is only being described by BPD as being black. He was driving a Mitsubishi Gallant, and is believed to have had an Hispanic female in the vehicle with him.
