Police Investigate Shots Fired, Lockdown Lifted for Bryan Schools

Police say two men started a verbal argument which led to multiple shots being fired. At the conclusion of the investigation;
Antwine Demond Lewis, 20, from New Orleans was arrested and charged with Deadly Conduct and Evading.
David Donald Devall Jr., 36, also from New Orleans was arrested as well and charged with Deadly Conduct

Jones Elementary and Jane Long Middle Schools were placed under a precautionary perimeter lock down in response to a law enforcement search after shots were fired.

The incident took place at the Buena Vista Apartment Complex at 3301 Providence in Bryan, formerly known as The Oaks.

Students were secured within the buildings and a normal class schedule was maintained during the afternoon until the lock down was lifted at 3:00 p.m.

Bryan Police say they got the call at 1:49 p.m. that shots had been fired. Police say no one has been injured and officers have detained a few people.
