BRENHAM - A single vehicle accident Sunday night in Brenahm has claimed the life of two people.
A Houston woman and Austin man were killed when their sports utility vehicle left the road at the 1100 block of Highway 36 North, between FM 577 and U-S 290.
Brenham Police say the wreck happened around 7 p-m and after running off the highway, the S-U-V airborne, landed nose-first and rolled several times.
Brandon Ray Southern, 31 of Austin died at the scene.
38-year old Areeja Beagle of Houston died at Scott & White-Brenham Hospital a short time later.
Souther and Beagle were were ejected from the vehicle.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
