Snook Skeet Shootout Features Olympians from the Brazos Valley

Over 130 skeet and trap shooters from the Brazos Valley and surrounding areas faced of in a shootout to see who had the best eye.

Keith Ellis of the Brazos County 4-H Sportsman's Club said the club has brought a lot of success to local competitors.

"It has sent a young lady to the Olympics several times, she has won several world cups," Ellis said.

Junior National Olympic Team player Phillip Jungman was competing Saturday with other Olympic Skeet Junior Champions.

"We travel to four competitions a year going from Georgia to Colorado," Jungman said.

The competition benefits 4-H Shooting Sports, which is a youth development organization and allows the kids to compete in the skeet and trap shooting competitions.
