Some City of College Station residents may be experiencing discolored water coming out of their faucets, but officials say there is no need for concern.
Jennifer Nations with College Station's Water Services says the water is safe to drink and that crews are currently flushing pipes in the Axis Court area and that should help clear up the water.
Water crews began testing high service pumps at the Dowling Road Pump Station on Thursday and officials say this created conditions that made the water cloudy and discolored.
If the water continues to have a brown or murky appearance, College Station residents may contact the Water Services department 24 hours a day at 979-764-3638 to discuss any concerns.
