Updated: Thu 11:09 PM, Jan 24, 2013

Up and coming Aggie entrepreneurs and any student who wants to learn more about being in business have a new place to learn in College Station.

It's a new way to learn and even grow a potential business while still in school at Texas A&M.

Startup Aggieland celebrated its grand opening Thursday on Research Parkway in College Station.

The facility was started by students and is being run by students.

Potential business people will be able to cultivate ideas and even collaborate with experts.

"We also have office space. There's been a couple students who are ready to launch, they just need a place to set up, and we're happy to give that to them as well," said Andrew Karl, the Vice President of the Texas A&M Entrepreneurship Society as well as a sophomore at the school.

"This is a home for innovators and innovation, creativity hub for anyone who has a business, business ideas," said Blake Petty, Texas A&M Assistant Vice President for Innovation and Business Development.

"This actually is the incubator for a number of student-created and student-run businesses in place today. That's the incredible thing about this, it's really going on right now," said R. Bowen Loftin, PhD., Texas A&M University President.

All students are invited to see the new facility. Startup Aggieland is located at 1700 Research Parkway in Suite 150.
