LOVELADY, Texas Rough weather before a cool front damaged some homes and buildings, and took out some trees in an area northeast of the Brazos Valley.
This happened in the Houston County town of Lovelady, between Huntsville and Crockett Sunday afternoon.
The Houston County Sheriff's Office is reporting that a tornado touched down in two places, first at a mobile home park, the second time slightly damaging Lovelady High School about a half mile away.
Video shot by a resident at 5 p.m. was posted on the Houston County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
The National Weather Service has now confirmed that it was a tornado, based on witness reports, pictures, and video.
The sheriff's office told News 3 that 6-to-8 structures were damaged by the storm.
They also say one woman was slightly injured when 3 trees fell on her mobile home.
