Students Bring in a lot of 'Moo-Lah' at Livestock Auction

BRAZOS COUNTY - High school students from Brazos County are breathing a sigh of relief.

The Brazos County Youth Livestock show is coming to an end this weekend. Over the past year, these kids have raised and cared for animals that were auctioned off tonight.

The money helps high school FFA and 4-H students go to college.

Miranda Skaggs is one of the students. This is just her first year and she secured $12,000 between the sale of her steer and pig. That's money she says will help with college.

The champion steer at the Brazos County Youth Live Stock Show sold for $15,000. To quote directly from our News Director, That's a lot of moo-lah.
