Students Evacuated at Rudder High for Ventilation System Issue

Students at Rudder High School in Bryan were evacuated Wednesday afternoon.

School district officials say around 1:30 p.m., smoke was being produced from a saw dust evacuation system at the school's wood shop.

BISD says no students were in danger, and the evacuation was a precaution while the Bryan Fire Department responded.

Students returned to class later in the afternoon.
