A storm went throughout the area and brought residents some much-needed rain!
Wednesday evening, high winds did knock down power lines and slippery roads caused quite a few wrecks.
For the most part, residents welcomed the unexpected storm.
"It's amazing. I didn't even realize we were going to get rain and then to get all this; I didn't even know what this wet stuff was anymore," said Kathy Hodgson, a Bryan resident.
"I think it's great. We weren't expecting this. It's a wonderful surprise," said Bryan resident Shelley Weedom.
"The rain is great. Seriously it's great," said Dave Vanny.
When daylight came on Thursday, residents in the area began to notice the damage caused by Wednesday's strong winds. At Twin City Mission in Bryan, the winds ripped down big branches and limbs. The debris was scattered across the street and sidewalks.
