Suspect Arrested After Reports of Man with Gun in College Station

A College Station resident has been arrested after several reports of a man with a gun in College Station.

Late Wednesday night, College Station Police responded to the 4100 block of McFarland Drive after residents reported seeing a male with a gun - possibly a rifle.

The suspect fled in a vehicle before cops arrived on scene.

Sometime later, police located the vehicle and found 34 year old Traynham Davenport drunk behind the wheel.

He was arrested.

Police found multiple firearms and several controlled substances inside of the vehicle.

Davenport was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance times three, Driving While Intoxicated, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Possession of Marijuana.
