WACO, Texas - A man charged in the shooting of a 7-month-old boy in Central Texas had been wanted for probation violations.
Waco police say 24-year-old Samuel Henry fired several shots into a home on Oct. 10, critically injuring a 7-month-old boy. Henry is charged with causing serious bodily injury to a child.
Court documents obtained by the Waco Tribune-Herald show that Henry was given probation on two misdemeanor charges in March. He was convicted of illegally carrying a gun and firing it into the air.
Authorities issued warrants after Henry failed a drug test and failed to finish an anger management program.
Henry remains in jail on $250,000 bond. Jail records didn't list an attorney.
