COLLEGE STATION - Another round of Highway 6 ramp closures is on the way in College Station.
Starting next Tuesday, Texas Department of Transportation Engineers say the entrance ramp on the northbound side from Highway 30 and Harvey Road will be closed. The exit ramp from the Northbound traffic to University drive will also be shut down, so drivers wanting to get to University (FM 60) will have to exit at Harvey.
Speeds in the area will be lowered to 60 miles per hour, and the project is expected to last at least three months. TXDOT says this work is part of the $9.6 million dollar SH 6 Ramps Project contracted to Big Creek Construction. The project is scheduled to be completed by Spring of 2015.
