FRIENDSWOOD, Texas – Friendswood police say a teenager charged in a crash that killed a retired police officer has been arrested again.

Callie Inman, 18, was out of jail on bond following a crash in Galveston on Feb. 22, but she was arrested again early Monday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Friendswood Police Department.

Police said Inman was with Patrick O’Brian Hubert, 25, of Pearland when he was stopped for a traffic violation on Melody Lane. Hubert did not have proof of insurance coverage and had two felony warrants out of Harris County, police said.

Hubert got out of the car and allegedly told officers his passenger, Inman, had been smoking marijuana. A search of the vehicle was conducted and a baggie containing marijuana residue was found, police said. Inman was taken into custody for possession of the marijuana residue.

Hubert was also taken into custody.

In February, Galveston police said the young woman plowed into a motorcycle on the seawall. A 61-year-old retired Houston police officer was killed and his wife, a current officer, was injured.

The victim's wife told KHOU 11 News she was not prepared to make a statement.
