Two teens have been detained in the death of a 15-year-old whose body was found in an intersection.
Police identified the victim as Nahum Martinez of Wylie, a freshman at Wylie East High School. Authorities said he had been shot, and they found a gun in an open field.
A passer-by reported seeing his body at a street corner about 5:30 a.m. Saturday. Authorities later detained two 14-year-old boys.
School district officials say they have been notified about Nahum's death and are planning to have crisis counselors available at school on Monday morning.
Wylie, a city of more than 35,000 people, is about 29 miles northeast of Dallas.
