A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Milam, Robertson, Leon Counties until 12am Monday and for Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Montgomery,San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, and Washington Counties until 12am Tuesday. Widespread 2" to 4" rain accumulations are possible through Monday, with localized 8" to 11" possible.
Austin, TX-- Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Captured in Oklahoma
Robert Charles Grunsfeld, 51, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, is now in custody after being captured Monday in Oklahoma. Grunsfeld, who is considered a sexually violent predator at high risk to reoffend, removed his ankle monitor Nov. 22 and fled from a Dallas halfway house.
Grunsfeld was arrested Monday evening by the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office at a restaurant in McAlester, Okla., and was taken into custody without incident. He was wanted for felony failure to comply with civil commitment requirements. This arrest was not the result of a Texas Crime Stoppers tip, and no reward will be paid. So far in 2013, DPS and other agencies have arrested 31 Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, including 10 gang members, and $74,500 in rewards has been paid for tips that resulted in arrests. The cash rewards are funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division.
Anyone with information can provide anonymous tips in four different ways:
Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
Text the letters DPS – followed by your tip – to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.
Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
Submit a Facebook tip here by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).
All calls, texts, e-mails and Facebook messages are guaranteed to be anonymous.
