Sunday marks the 13th anniversary of the Texas A&M Bonfire collapse of 1999. On November 18th of that year, a 60 foot tall bonfire collapsed, killing 12 Aggies and injuring 27 others.

Students plan to gather at the memoriat at 2:42 AM for a candelight vigil in honor of the Aggies who lost their lives at that time 13 years ago.

An investigation uncovered catastrophic safety lapses. The university has since banned on campus fires. A memorial now stands in its place.
