Texas A&M employee, Mary Broussard, is retiring after 29 years at the university.

Broussard joined Texas A&M in 1985 and most recently served as an Executive Director for Undergraduate Studies.

Broussard is also a Jefferson Award recipient. She has volunteered for dozens of local organizations including the United Way, Girls Club and College Station ISD.

Broussard says she is thankful for the impact she made on Texas A&M students.

"I cherish those moments where students really come back and say thank you for really giving me the information, the advice, the guidance, to go on and really make significant changes in my life," Broussard said.

Broussard says she is going to continue serving the local community and take some time for herself.
