If you miss seeing the Aggies and Longhorns play, a Texas A&M sports team is keeping the rivalry on ice with a big game Friday night.
The Texas A&M Club Ice Hockey Team continues to keep the rivalry alive even though other sports have said goodbye after switching to the Southeastern Conference.
Late Thursday night the Aggies were practicing for Friday's matchup at Arctic Wolf Ice Center in College Station.
The team is actually playing the Horns a total of eight times this year.
So far they've won the first two games.
"It's always a big game and it's fun to play the guys. It's fun that we still get to play even though everybody else moved over to the SEC, so you know to still have that instate rivalry and still get to feed off of that all the traditions and stuff it's great," said Hayden Pritchard, a Texas A&M Ice Hockey Forward and Team Captain.
"You know we're trying to get everyone to come out and watch the games. They're exciting, they're fun they're not as expensive as the football games and we get to play Texas. And we're I think pretty much the only college A&M team that gets to do that," said Sean Boyle, the Texas A&M Ice Hockey Head Coach.
The opening face-off beings at 7:30 Friday at Arctic Wolf Ice Center.
Admission is $5 for kids through college age, while it's $7.50 for adults.
