A new fleet of Texas A&M University Police Department (UPD) patrol vehicles are now appearing on campus, as well as in the local community.
UPD recently acquired nine black and white 2013 Chevrolet Caprice police patrol vehicles that officials believe will play an important role in helping campus police ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors.
The new police cars include an image of the police badge on the front doors and "Texas A&M University Police" lettering along both sides. The design was selected by a team of officers within the Field Operations Patrol Division, who will be using the vehicles daily.
The existing fleet of police cars has been retired.
