Some people have argued the Texas Aggies may have been out of their league in college football's most prominent league: the Southeastern Conference. But after Saturday night's victory -- it's safe to say the Aggies stunned the Crimson Tide and validated their victory in front of more than 100,000 fans on Alabama's home turf.

“I’m sure the energy is crazy because it's Alabama. It's a huge SEC team,” said Taylor Hall. “It's the number one team and everyone really thinks we really have a chance to win it.”

The Aggies might be new to the SEC, but after taking down the biggest bully in their new neighborhood -- the team has more than validated their name -- and will to win.

“It reminds me of 1968, January first, when I was at the Cottonbowl watching us beat Alabama,” said Texas A&M President R. Bowen Loftin. “Nobody thought we could do it, but we did.”

The victory called for a celebration across Aggieland.

“I can't think of a more exciting time for football,” said Travis Whitlock, Aggie Class of 2011.

As soon as the team arrived back home, fans gave the men in maroon a welcoming home celebration they will never forget.

“I just wish everybody could have been there like I was to experience the intimidation in that stadium and see how our young men responded to it. They believe in themselves and proved they were right," said Loftin.
