BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) A Southeast Texas dentist has pleaded guilty to health care fraud and agreed to forfeit more than $829,000.
A federal magistrate in Beaumont on Tuesday accepted the plea from 70-year-old Terrence Ewing Syler. He ran Syler Orthodontics in Beaumont.
Prosecutors say Syler since 2007 defrauded Medicaid by submitting claims for orthodontic devices never provided to patients.
Sylver faces up to 10 years in prison. No sentencing date was immediately set.
