Yet another way to help the families of the firefighters affected by a deadly Bryan fire has been announced.
Organizers of the Texas Reds Steak and Grape Festival in Downtown Bryan have said the 2013 edition will be dedicated to the city's firefighters, and a charitable donation will be made in honor of injured Firefighters Ricky Mantey and Mitch Moran, along with the late Lieutenants Eric Wallace and Greg Pickard.
The festival this year is set for September 27 and 28.
A portion of the proceeds will go towards the Firefighters Association to directly benefit those families.
Wallace and Pickard were killed while fighting a fire at the Knights of Columbus Hall south of Downtown in February. Mantey and Moran were seriously injured, and spent months receiving treatment at a burn unit in Galveston. They returned to Bryan last month.
