COMANCHE, Texas (AP) - A West Texas man whose wife was reported missing more than a week ago has been charged with murder in her disappearance.
Comanche County jail records show 34-year-old Michael Logan Lowery of Rising Star was being held Wednesday on $1 million bond. No attorney was listed for Lowery, who was arrested Tuesday night in neighboring Brown County.
Amber Lowery has been missing since July 23. Sheriff's officials on Wednesday did not immediately say what led them to the husband or whether a body has been found.
Michael Lowery previously spoke to the media of his concern for his missing 34-year-old wife. Michael Lowery told KTXS-TV of the worries "when you don't know where your loved one's at."
The Comanche County Sheriff's Office didn't immediately provide additional details.
