A Texas A&M Student has died on his way back to College Station.

Texas A&M University confirms Taylor Gillespie died in a car accident Sunday morning in the Dallas area.

DPS says a Mercury Sable driven by Taylor's father spun out and hit oncoming traffic around 10 a.m. Sunday morning on State Highway 121 in Collin County.

DPS Officials tell us it was sleeting at the time of the crash.

The 22-year old was a Ross volunteer from Melissa, Texas and was slated to begin as an intern, here at KBTX, next week.

Taylor's father and the other driver were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
