The Dison and Thornberry families were divided, some cheered on LSU, while others were for the Aggies.

David Thornberry says the Aggies usually end up on top. He says that the Aggies dominated when the teams were rivals back in the 1990s.

Despite cheering for different teams, this group says they have a friendly rivalry.

Fans yelled for their favorite team.

And of course no tailgate is complete without food sizzling on the grill. Everywhere you looked people were eating and having a good time.

There were thousands of fan, but not everyone had tickets for the game.

"Were gonna watch the game right over here in the shade," said Paton Hagen, an Aggie fan.

Most tailgaters set up flatscreen TVs to watch the big game under their tents.

Although, there was a purple and maroon divide ...the competition stayed friendly.

"All the people here are welcoming, they're good here and we would welcome them in Baton Rouge too," said an LSU fan.

The LSU Tigers won the game 24 to 19.
