MONTGOMERY COUNTY -- A toddler is out of the hospital and doing much better one week after being attacked by a pit bull.

Eighteen-month-old Anthony Rodriguez was with his mother outside their Montgomery County last week when the dog lunged and came off its chain.

Anthony will need more surgeries to repair nerve damage in his face, but his mother said he's up and playing.

The pit bull, named Oreo, belonged to a family friend.

It was picked up by Montgomery County Animal Control and remains in quarantine as they determine whether he has rabies. Then, the courts will decide whether or not to euthanize him.
