Town Hall Meeting: Health and Safety in High School Athletics

The first-ever Bryan ISD Town Hall Meeting to discuss Health and Safety in Secondary School Athletics will be held at Bryan High School in the Silver Cafeteria on Monday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m.

Parents of athletes in grades 6-12 are invited to this meeting, as well as all members of the community.

This meeting is designed to inform parents of the risks and benefits of sports participation, as well as the procedures taken should an injury occur.

Topics will include:

Athlete & Parent Responsibility
Insurance Options
Asthma
Diabetes
Concussion & Traumatic Brain Injury
Hydration & Healthy Eating Habits
Heat Illness
Sudden Cardiac Arrest

There will be a time for community members to ask questions to the Sports Medicine Team that is responsible for the health and safety of athletes at Bryan ISD.

A light snack, beverages and door prizes will be available to attendees.


We ask that the following Community Standards be followed:
