One Brazos Valley organization is in need of some help this weekend.
Toys for Tots collects toys for children of all ages and this season they've had an increase the amount of requests. They are just over 300 toys shy of meeting their goal of helping out 2,000 needy children in the Brazos Valley.
"Everyone just needs to realize that we're one united community," says Brad Dressler, a volunteer with Toys for Tots.
"So, it's important that we work together to help those that are in need. There are people that are less fortunate. Even though times are rough for everybody, we need to pitch in and do our part, our responsibility, I think to contribute to the community as a whole."
If you would like to help out, there are collection bins across Bryan and College Station. There will also be a toy drive this Saturday at the Village café in downtown Bryan. From 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. There will be live music.
If you don't have a toy to donate, they will except monetary donations as well.
