The College Station Walmart is back open Saturday after the store lost power for over an hour.

A store manager said a nearby transformer blew around 6:30 a.m., causing the lights and registers to shut down. Customers were promptly evacuated from the store as employees assessed the situation. None of the perishable items were affected.

The store opened back up around eight after the transformer was fixed.
