A longtime investigator for the district attorney's office in Austin has died in a motorcycle crash.
Sgt. Lorraine Kerlick died just after 4 p.m. Sunday after a crash west of Bee Cave, near Austin. The Austin American-Statesman reports (http://bit.ly/YI8P27 ) that the Texas Department of Public Safety could not immediately provide details on the crash.
The 53-year-old Kerlick was a 17-year investigator in the Travis County District Attorney's Office, working with local police departments in the county.
District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg called Kerlick "a dedicated and highly regarded law enforcement professional."
