Trips on a Tank: Blessington Farms

We wrap up our Trips on a Tank series with a stop at Blessington Farms just outside of Houston.

The property has a selection of strawberries, blackberries and blueberries for you to pick yourself.

There are also many children's activities, including a mountain of sand, hayrides, slides, a barrel train and a place where they can pet chickens.

The owners plan to open up their pond soon, with a catch-and-release fishing attraction.

There is no entrance fee, but the berries are priced by the pound. If you'd like to check out the children's activities, there is a charge for that.

The hours of operation change based on the weather conditions, but they update their website daily, so you can check before you head down there. www.blessingtonfarms.com
