It's not something you see every day -- but drivers in Bryan were not only faced with a delay in traffic, but those who had their windows down may have noticed a not so pleasant smell near Harvey Mitchell Parkway and Turkey Creed Road.
According to Bryan Police a truck from Hy-line Hatcheries was transporting liquid chicken parts down Turkey Creek Road around 1 Wednesday afternoon.
It's believed the truck may have stopped abruptly before it reached the intersection of Harvey Mitchell Parkway, causing it to spill a large amount of chicken parts and liquid all over the roadway. Police also believe the driver of the truck may have been unaware of the spillage due to the fact the driver never stopped. Bryan Firefighters from Station 5 had the roadway cleaned up and back open for drivers in less than 30 minutes.
