The driver of a pick-up truck is at Scott & White Hospital in Temple Wednesday morning after colliding with an 18-wheeler.
Authorities say the accident happened on FM 485, west of Hearne. According to the Texas Department Public Safety, the pick-up was traveling west away from Hearne when he crossed over the center line and hit the 18-wheeler in the left front panel.
The driver of that pick-up truck, 54-year-old Larry Bennett of Milano, was flown by medical helicopter to Scott & White Hospital in Temple. DPS says his injuries are non-life threatening. The driver of the 18-wheeler, 62-year-old Frank Johnson of Benchley, refused treatment at the scene.
