One Dead in Single Vehicle Wreck in Bryan

BRYAN - One person is dead and two are injured following a single vehicle crash Saturday morning in Bryan.

The accident happened about 6:15 a.m. near the intersection of Sandy Point Road and Hilton Road on the northwest side of the city.

According to police, the driver overcorrected, left the road and hit a tree and a pipe fence.

23-year-old German Rodarte of Bryan was killed in the crash. The driver and another passenger were taken to St. Joseph in Bryan and are in stable condition.

Sandy Point Road was closed for nearly five hours while police investigated the deadly crash.

BPD originally reported two people had died, but later clarified that information.
