SHARON, Pa. (AP) - A freeway crash in western Pennsylvania has claimed the lives of three people, including two high school football players.
The two-vehicle crash happened Friday night in Sharon, about 50 miles north of Pittsburgh. Two members of the Sharon High School football team were killed.
Police did not release the names of those involved but The Sharon Herald reports other members of the team were injured. Two children, ages 10 and 12, were also transported to hospitals.
Sharon High School had been scheduled to play in a District 10 playoff game Saturday against Girard High School. The District 10 committee said in a statement the game had been canceled.
