Two Injured in Fiery Grimes County Crash

GRIMES COUNTY Two people were taken to the hospital early Wednesday morning after a fiery crash between an 18-wheeler and car.

It happened around 6:30 on Highway 6 and FM 2988 in Grimes County about 6 miles outside Navasota.

DPS says the 18-wheeler was at the intersection of Highway 6 and FM 2988 when he struck the car traveling north on Highway 6.

The car caught on fire but crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

Two were transferred with non-life threatening injuries to St. Joseph Health System in Bryan.
