A Flower Mound man and woman tell police they were terrified after being robbed while sitting in their car Saturday night in front of a local restaurant.
Police are looking for two suspects and need your help.
It was frightening moments for a man and woman overnight when thieves tried to break into the car they were in at the Taco Bell parking lot on University Drive across from Texas A&M.
College Station Police say the two were in the back of a car waiting on friends, who were inside getting food.
That's when two men approached the vehicle around 2:48 A.M.
The victims inside the car grabbed at the surprised burglar in self defense who apparently didn't know anyone was in the car.
The 52-year-old man and 42-year-old woman suffered minor injuries after falling out of the car during a struggle.
"He opened the back door and acted like he was going to enter the vehicle maybe with the intent to burglarize the vehicle or possibly even take the vehicle. The people inside the back reached over grabbed him in kind of a self defense motion and the subject pulled away real quickly and pulled one of the subjects out of the vehicle and they sustained injuries. And at that point the two subjects took off on foot and we were unable to locate them," said Sergeant Kyle Patterson with the College Station Police Department.
The two burglars are described as white men in their early 20's.
One was around 5'10", 220 pounds wearing an orange colored short sleeve shirt and jeans.
The other man was 6 feet tall, slender build and wearing a green and white colored button up shirt.
No property was taken and police do not believe they had weapons.
